Avant Microblading and Tara Villalvazo are pleased to announce an informative article on the company website: “Microblading: What’s in a Name?” Contrary to the sound of the procedure's name, it is not done with a blade. Instead, the process is a beauty procedure which is first and foremost a tattoo. As with any quality tattoo procedure, it is important the process is done in a safe and skilled manner.
Tara is a certified microblading artist and holds a cosmetic tattoo artist license, as required by law, in the state of Georgia. She has extensive knowledge of cross-contamination and has her bloodborne pathogens certificate. Tara has been involved in the tattoo industry for over a decade and has always enjoyed working with others to help their beauty shine through.
Microblading has been around for several years but is relatively new to the United States. The reason for its popularity, in part, is because of the skinny brows which were common a couple decades ago. Now, with a more natural and fuller brow desired, women must either spend hours drawing in brows or invest in the microblading process, which gives a long-lasting result that is natural and clean.
According to the author of the article, “Microblading is a manual method of cosmetic tattooing in which a small, linear collection of needles is used to meticulously create individual hair strokes by implanting pigment under the skin. The result is a natural, realistic, and beautiful eyebrow. It is made to last a year or two, but routine refreshers are highly recommended if you want to keep your brows looking fabulous.”
